I was born and raised in Penacook, New Hampshire, moving to Bath, Maine in 1983. I moved to Exeter, Maine in 1985 saying, “If they pave the road I live on, I’ll move north again!” I only began ministering through music at my home church Cornerstone Baptist, in Exeter, Maine 10 years ago. I know that it is my duty as a soldier of the Lord to use my gifts and talents to glorify God, reach the lost and to teach the rest.

I accepted Christ as Savior in the fall of 1982 while reading the Jack Chick Tract; “This was your Life”. Although born again, I had no idea of what to do next in order to begin growing as a Christian. After 7 years, almost to the day (on September 11, 1989), of wandering “the desert”, the Lord finally came looking for me and rescued me using a powerful “Damascus Road” experience. These years in the “desert” included drugs, alcohol and a broken marriage. I use my testimony of what Jesus did for me during concerts.

I joined the choir Cornerstone Baptist Church around 1998. I feel my choir director, Jimmy Griffin, gave me a lot of “extra” help in order to learn to sing bass parts. In 2000, I was asked to learn a solo piece to sing on Mother’s day by one of the ladies in the choir. Folks seem to really like it and I felt like it was something I could do to serve God by encouraging His people. I also sang in The Cornerstone Quartet that was directed by Jimmy Griffin. I soon found that I liked singing many different styles of music, but determined to always sing songs with Jesus as the theme.

In 2004 I was introduced to The Down East Country Music Association (DECMA). I took first place in their annual statewide competition in the category of Male Gospel Vocalist. In 2005, I again competed and not only won Male gospel Vocalist of the Year, but also Male Gospel Entertainer as well. I did the same in 2006 but also was awarded the North East Invitational Country Showdown New Gospel Male Vocalist of The Year (New England States) as well as their Entertainer category. In 2007, I traveled with DECMA to Pigeon Forge Tennessee for the North American Country Music Associations’ International competition. Competing against tremendously talented singers and entertainers from all over the country and other parts of the world I was awarded the 2007 Rising Star Award (2nd place) for Male Vocalist of the Year in the Adult New Gospel category as well as the 2007 Most Promising Award (3rd place) for Male Entertainer of the Year in the Adult New Gospel category.

In 2003 I had a conversation with now fellow band member Rod (drummer). Rod was DJing a “Totally Teen Club” dance and I was chaperoning the Dance. Rod happened to notice that I was playing harmonica to a song that he (Rod) was playing for the kids. Right then and there Rod and I decided that we should put together a Christian band. After trying some different combinations of musicians, by early 2005, the current members stuck.

I am also a licensed substance abuse counselor or LADC. By day I work for Manna Ministries as the lead counselor for the “Derek House”, Manna’s long term residential substance abuse rehab. I am currently working on my Master’s Degree at Husson College in Bangor, Maine.

I am married to Ella and we live in Exeter, Maine, near Bangor. We have two sons, Glen III and Jeremy. my youngest son Jeremy (age 19) is the band’s sound technician.
